The 2018/19 Indian domestic season has marked the return of Bihar and the first inclusion of six teams from the North-East. All these seven teams are adjoined by Team Puducherry and Team Uttarakhand in the Plate group of the Vijay Hazare Trophy producing some interesting numbers. The game between Bihar and Sikkim on Sunday witnessed as many as three rare records in Indian Domestic history due to the latter’s misery with both bat and ball.
Sikkim elected to bowl first after winning the toss in the game played at Shastri Medan in Anand. The number three batsman Rahmat Ullah made the Sikkim bowlers toil throughout his stay. He reached his half-century in 53 balls but needed only 25 more to bring up his maiden List A century. In 17 more deliveries, Rahmat completed his 150 as Bihar moved towards a huge total. Rahmat made 156 off just 103 balls with 10 fours and eight sixes before retiring hurt.

Rahmat’s knock helped Bihar to post 338 runs for the loss of six wickets. His team won the game by a record 292 runs by bowling out Sikkim for just 46 runs.
Lowest team totals in List A cricket in India:
The total of 46 by Sikkim is the third lowest in Indian List A cricket and only the 5th total of less than 50 in the country. Two of those came against Railways that too in Nagpur at different venues. The 292-run winning margin of Bihar finds a place in the top ten biggest wins in the List A format.
