The ‘Big Show’ Glenn Maxwell slammed the highest score in the history of the Big Bash League as he dismantled the Hobart Hurricanes bowling by notching up unbeaten 154 runs which included 22 fours and four sixes. Opening the batting for Melbourne Stars, skipper Maxwell was at his destructive best as he scored the second-fastest BBL hundred in just 41 balls, with Craig Simmons topping the chart for reaching the feat in 39 balls in 2014.
The T20 World Cup winner was in absolutely beast mode as he chalked up 22 fours in his innings, which is the most by any batter in all T20 matches. The hard-hitter with his brutal knock helped his side in reaching a mammoth score of 273/2 in their 20 overs. The Melbourne crowd was fortunate to witness one of the most entertaining and the greatest T20 innings of all time as the big show tumbled various records. His team Melbourne Stars recorded the highest total in the BBL history and also the third-highest score in all T20 matches overall.
