<p>The runners-up of Asia Cup 2016 Bangladesh is doing some wonders in the shorter format of the game. Inconsistency has hampered them in spite of having a talented team. They have managed to win 7 T20Is in the 14 games they had played since the last World T20, with two of them being against Pakistan &amp; Sri Lanka. Their form has been decent in the Asia Cup T20, and the team needs consistency to make a big impact in the upcoming World T20.</p>

<h4><strong>5. England – Win Percentage 56%</strong></h4>

<p>England might have not been a T20 heavyweight over the years, their current squad will make them one of the favorites in the upcoming tournament. Comprising of a talented team molded for the format, their record has been pretty impressive over the past two years, including an unbeaten streak in 2015. However, England will be tested in spin-friendly conditions of India; since their players are severely inexperienced in such conditions.</p>
<h4><strong>4. West Indies – Win Percentage 57%</strong></h4>

<p>The Windies cricket might have been rocked by the controversies surrounding the player contracts, but the team’s performance in the shortest format has remained convincing enough to earn them the favorites tag. Having played just 8 T20Is since last T20 World Cup, they have managed to win 4 of them. With majority of the T20 stars lined up to play in T20 World Cup for West Indies, along with the familiarity of the players with the playing conditions, one can count on them to make it far into the tournament.</p>
<h4><strong>3. New Zealand – Win Percentage 62%</strong></h4>

<p>The Kiwis have always been a force to reckon with in the shortest format, and their form has not dip one bit since their modest World T20 campaign in Bangladesh. However, having played majority of their matches outside the subcontinent, their players severely lack experience of playing in dry and spinning T20 tracks in India. Additionally, the retirement of their captain Brendon McCullum could severely hamper their chances. But with the emergence of Kane Williamson and Martin Guptill&#8217;s lightning form, the team still looks good enough to compete with sub-continent teams in their own den, and one can expect them to spoil the party for a team or two.</p>
<h4><strong>2. South Africa – Win Percentage 63%</strong></h4>

<p>South African team will remain a firm favorite for the upcoming T20 World Cup. Not only do they have an awe-inspiring team, their record since the last T20 World Cup has been excellent, which includes a series victory over India in India. Led by Faf du Plessis the team has a blend of T20 specialists and, of course, the best batsman in the world AB de Villiers. At this point, it seems South Africa has the right combination and form to lift the title.</p>

<p>MS Dhoni might have been questioned about his captaincy over the past year or so, but he has turned the tides by forming a well-oiled unit in T20Is this year. They have the highest win percentage amongst the top 8 since the last T20 World Cup, with 10 of those victories coming in this year itself. The team looks formidable, and coupling it with home conditions, the Indian team is touted as firm favorites going into the World T20.</p>
