This was India’s 7th consecutive win in the history of Champions Trophy as they won all the 5 games in the 2013 edition and their last game vs West Indies in 2009 CT. With this win, India equalled the longest winning streak in Champions Trophy.
West Indies also won 7 games in a row between 2002 and 2006. They won all the 4 matches in 2004 edition while they won their last game in 2002 edition and their first two games in 2006 edition before losing their third game.
