Mithali Raj has made it a habit to break a record in every game in the 2017 Women’s World Cup as she set the record for most fifty-plus scores in Women’s ODI cricket in a calendar year. Mithali’s century against New Zealand was her 10 fifty-plus score in ODIs in 2017, thus she broke the record of Ellyse Perry’s 9 fifties record which she had set in 2016. India’s Deepti Sharma also has 8 ODI fifty-plus scores in 2017 and still has a pretty good chance of adding few more with 5 more months left in the year.
