This is the reason why players such as Andre Russell, Hardik Pandya, Chris Gayle and MS Dhoni are ruling the roost in this season of IPL 2019.

Russell is the most frequent six-hitter in Indian Premier League, with the qualification being a minimum of 25 sixes hit. He slams a six every 6.24 balls, meaning a six every over he is present at the crease. This is evident from the fact that he has hit 50 sixes in just 11 innings in this IPL, along with 486 runs to his name with a strike rate of 207.69 and average of 69.42. He has been the biggest match-winner for the Kolkata Knight Riders and is second on the list of most runs in this edition of the IPL.

IPL veteran Chris Gayle is second on the list with six every 9.03 balls, which was pretty much expected as he has the record for most sixes in the tournament overall, with 324 maximums to his name. Pandya is the only Indian batsman in this list, with six every 9.98 balls, and a total of 27 sixes this season and counting.

One player who is on the list, but is not playing in this edition of the tournament is Glenn Maxwell, who has been a part of teams like Delhi Capitals, Kings XI Punjab and Mumbai Indians, with 9.53 balls per six and he has hit 91 sixes in 69 IPL matches so far.

IPL 2019 is reaching its end stages with Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals having already qualified for the playoffs and four other teams vying for the remaining two spots in the final four. The viewers can only expect to see sixes in the coming few games.
