Stats: Virat Kohli becomes the quickest to score 32 List A centuries

Among the 7 players with 32 and more List A centuries; 5 players needed over 380 innings to score their 32nd List A century.

While Virat Kohli broke several records in ODI cricket, the impact was also seen in List A records as the Indian captain got to a few new highs in this format which including the domestic one-dayers and the unofficial ODI games. His century against Windies is his 32nd List A century with four of those coming for Delhi before he hit his first of the 28 ODI hundreds.

With this century, Kohli went past Sourav Ganguly and Sanath Jayasuriya to stand at No.7 on the list of most centuries by a batsman in List A cricket. This list is headed by Sachin Tendulkar, who scored 60 centuries in the format, 16 more than the next best Graham Gooch.

Virat took 214 innings to get there which makes him the fastest; Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar is the only one who came any closer to Kohli as he scored his 32nd List A hundred in 261 innings.

After scoring his 32nd List A century, Kohli now has an innings/hundreds ratio of 6.69 in this format which is the best for any player with over 20 hundreds. Hashim Amla is the next best with a ratio of 7.43 having scored 28 tons in 208 innings.

Among the 11 players including Kohli who have scored over 30 List A tons, 9 players needed about 12 innings at an average to score a century. Sachin Tendulkar is only next to Kohli among the players with 30+ List A centuries as the former Indian batsman hit a century every 8.97 innings.
