Stephen Fleming reckons Ambati Rayudu would be the key player in IPL Final

The Indian Premier League is all set to witness the last match of the season. After several nail-biting finishes and exciting cricket matches, it is down to just two teams. The Chennai Super Kings will be facing the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Grand finale. The game is set to be one of the biggest events of the year with Star broadcasting the match in 17 different languages. The fans will be geared up to cheer for their team one last time.

The Chennai Super Kings went in with experience rather than young guns in IPL 11. Most of the players were aged above 30 and many experts felt that it may affect CSK’s chances of making it to the playoffs. But as we have seen before, the yellow army never disappoints as they played some terrific cricket and pulled unlikely victories to make it to the finals for the seventh time. Ambati Rayudu has been one of the key contributors for CSK this season.

The former Mumbai Indians player has scored 586 runs in 15 matches that clearly proves that he is the key contributor for CSK. His performances earned him a place in the national team as well. Stephen Fleming, CSK’s coach felt that Rayudu’s innings can help CSK to lift their third IPL title.

“Rayudu has been very good. He has been one of the players to have contributed in match-winning performances. It is good to see him get some game time and gain confidence. The way he has done it has been rewarding from the coach and auction point of view.” Fleming said at the pre-match conference.

The Super Kings have defeated SRH on three occasions this season and can take much confidence from that heading into the game. However, they cannot afford to take things lightly as SRH have returned to winnings ways and can be very lethal if the opposition takes them lightly. CSK will be banking on Rayudu to deliver yet another match-winning performance. The team has a lot of match-winners in their lineup but Rayudu’s performance can prove to be the difference between the sides.
