Steve Smith finds no place in Adam Voges T20 Dream Team XI
There are four Australians in his team.
Australian batsman Adam Voges recently picked up his Dream Team XI. The official social media handle of the Perth Scorchers posted the video of the same on their Twitter handle. Among all the selections that Voges made, it was quite surprising to see the name of Australian skipper Steve Smith missing. Smith has often been a regular face in several best XI and dream team picks.
Well, Adam Voges had his choices made and had good reasons to validate his selections too. The dream team of Voges is a T20 delight. West Indies batter Chris Gayle and former New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum are the openers in the team. This has actually been a reality too. McCullum and Gayle have opened the batting in the Bangladesh Premier League 2017 for the Rangpur Riders.
At number three comes the destructive Australian opener David Warner. Warner has the ability to take the game away from any opposition. He has also led a T20 side, Sunrisers Hyderabad, to a title win in the IPL. Warner is followed by Aussie batsman Shaun Marsh. Marsh is arguably of the highly talented yet underrated stars of modern day cricket.
Next in line are the destructive duo of Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers. Kohli needs no introduction when it comes to excelling across the three formats of the game. ABD, also, is a 360 degrees cricketer. Both these gentlemen have had exploiting partnerships for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL.
Caribbean all-rounder Dwayne Bravo, who is a globe trotter in T20 cricket, follows in next. He also has the company of his fellow Caribbean player Sunil Narine, who is slowly turning out to be a lethal all-rounder. Among the pacers, Andrew Tye gets a mention too. Tye is on the verge of an ODI debut right now.
Recently, even Tye had named his All Time XI. The two other pacers who have found a place in the dream team of Adam Voges are Mitchell Starc and Lasith Malinga.
Here is the Dream Team of Adam Voges:
Chris Gayle, Brendon McCullum, David Warner, Shaun Marsh, Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Dwayne Bravo, Mitchell Starc, Sunil Narine, Andrew Tye, Lasith Malinga.
