Australia skipper Steve Smith has posted a video of the Jam packed trains in Bangladesh on the social media website Instagram today. The skipper seems to be enjoying his time in the country as Australia are set to play Bangladesh in a 2-match Test series.
There is still one week for the Test match to kick off and players have been keeping themselves busy by practising and doing other recreational activities. It seems he was amazed to see the life in Bangladesh and was left awestruck by watching hundreds of Bangladeshis travelling on the rooftop of the train.
The 28-year-old Aussie posted the video on his Instagram account quoting, “What to do when all the carriages are full #watchyourhead #bangladesh.” The video is getting mixed reactions from Steve Smith’s fans. Some Bangladesh fans felt on seeing cricketers mocking the lack of basic facilities in India. However, Smith has not said something derogatory in the video.
People coming from for foreign countries to the sub continent always find these sights unique and Steve Smith was no exception to that.
What next for Australia
Australia are scheduled to play a 2 match Test series against Bangladesh starting 27th August in Mirpur. The second match will be played from September 4th in Chittagong. The series is expected to be keenly contested as Aussies have their frailties against spin bowling.
This series will be their second visit to the sub-continent as they toured India in February for a 4 match series of the longest format of the game. Australia fared much better in that series and gave India a run for their money. Unfortunately, they lost a closely fought series by 2-1.
The Kangaroos are then scheduled to visit India for a limited overs series which includes 5 One Day Internationals and 3 T20Is. Australia recently announced the two different squads for both the series.
