Rishabh Pant has been the talk of the town as soon as he landed in Australia. Ever since he had gone for his first tour to Down Under in 2018, the wicketkeeper has stayed quite famous. Last time around, he had played a superb knock at the SCG while this time around too, he scored some vital runs in the previous Tests. The Delhi player mainly makes news for a few things: Bad shot selection, dropping catches, quickfire knock, or his usual chatter from behind the stumps.

However, in the first Test at Gabba, Pant was the topic of discussion in the commentary box but this time it was for a different reason. On the second day’s play at the Brisbane Test, the young wicketkeeper was seen wearing flashy sunglasses. Shane Warne and Kerry O’Keefe, who were on the air at one moment, made it a point to talk about this. Warne opened the chat by asking Kerry whether he likes the sunglasses which Pant is wearing. He made a joke that it looks like the one straight out of the service station.

Here’s a transcript of the conversation with Warne and O’Keefe (as reported by News18)

W: “And he bought flowers as well.

O: “No they are not getting me. You would want them to get scratched so you can just put them in the bin.

W: “Would you like fly buys with those?”

The former leg-spinner also made a point of comparing Pant’s shades with his Delhi Capitals teammate Shikhar Dhawan. In the picture which was shown, the Delhi opener was seen wearing even more flashy shades than Pant.

W: “Talking about those sunnies Skull there has been plenty of bad ones over the years, but there has been a few good ones”

O: “I’m not sure what category these ones go into?

W: “You talk about the bin Skull, but look at Shikhar Dhawan rocking there goodness me.

O: “It looks like something out of the old movie Slapshot.

W: “I think he might need a windscreen wipers Skull.”

O: “You could weld in them”
