Sunrisers Hyderabad finally got to the winning ways in the IPL 2021, when they defeated Punjab Kings in the previous match at the MA Chidambaram stadium in Chennai. Their fifth and last match at the venue will be against Delhi Capitals, who possess a strong line-up and have won their only game at the venue so far. After constantly making changes to the combination, Sunrisers finally got a couple of points. The big question is, will they make a change in the XI even after a win.
Here is the predicted XI of the Sunrisers Hyderabad team for their match against Delhi Capitals:
Openers (David Warner and Jonny Bairstow)
David Warner is one of the best T20 batsmen in the world and there is a reason why the Hyderabad team always looks forward to him for getting them off to a big star. In the previous match, he got a good start and started getting some runs under his belt before getting out.
Having said that, he would be completely aware of the fact that he needs to get some big runs under his belt to make sure that his team is doing well. His partner Jonny Bairstow, on the other hand, will be upbeat after scoring a brilliant fifty in the previous match and would be looking to continue his form.
Middle-order (Kane Williamson, Virat Singh, Kedar Jadhav)
Kane Williamson’s entry to the Sunrisers Hyderabad’s batting unit has made the team look a lot more powerful. The addition of the New Zealander has ensured that the team would have someone in the middle -order to balance the inexperience. One thing which the team management will have as a concern going into this match is that the new look middle-order didn’t get an opportunity to bat in the previous match.
Virat Singh is a talented domestic player and has been trusted by the Sunrisers Hyderabad side for the position in the middle order, which should give tremendous confidence to the youngster. On top of that, there is Kedar Jadhav, who has a lot of experience and was amongst runs before he arrived in the league.
All-rounders (Vijay Shankar and Abhishek Sharma)
Abhishek Sharma’s spell of four overs in the previous match was something that helped Sunrisers Hyderabad to get into the game early and put pressure on the Punjab Kings. Sharma bowled in the powerplay in the previous match and it will be interesting to see if he continues to play the same role for Hyderabad. Vijay Shankar too can bowl a few overs on this track but his main role in the team would be to take some responsibility with the bat.
Bowlers (Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Khaleel Ahmed, Siddharth Kaul)
Sunrisers Hyderabad’s bowling unit has looked strong for a long time. However, there were some issues because of which they were not doing collectively well. There is a big blow as T Natarajan is ruled out of the tournament with an injury. Khaleel Ahmed, who replaced the Tamil Nadu seamer in the team, has done well so far, having picked up four wickets.
There is a cloud of concern around Bhuvneshwar Kumar as well. The speedster walked out of the field in the previous match and didn’t come back to bowl. Siddharth Kaul, who made a come back in the SRH side, in the previous match should also continue to keep his place. If Bhuvi recovers, the line-up should be the same, else they might have think of a replacement.
