Stuart Broad and Yuvraj Singh get into a fun banter on Instagram

We all remember our first prominent Stuart Broad memory. It was almost 12 years back when India played England during the first-ever T20 World Cup event. The world still talks about that one Stuart Broad over which was ruled by the great Yuvraj Singh, a memory that has been etched forever in our psyche. Recently, the aforementioned pair engaged in a fun banter on Mumbai Indians official’s Instagram post.

Veteran batsman Yuvraj Singh has given us fans many memorable moments that are significant in Indian cricket history. His heroics in the 2011 World Cup guided India to a massive victory. He has not only moved Indian cricket history but cricket history as an overall. While he was diagnosed with cancer in 2011, it did not stop him from becoming the Man of the Tournament of the ICC’s biggest event. Till date, his heroics are lauded by fans and cricketers all over the world.

In the year 2012, the Indian left-handed batsman defeated cancer and miraculously came back to grace cricket. His illustrious career was not over after all. Besides his 2011 World Cup glory, one other major achievement in his career is the record he registered on September 19. 2007. Playing against England in a World T20 game, he recorded six sixes in an over that was bowled by England fast bowler Stuart Broad.

The English cricketer was just one year into his international career. Earlier that year he had played two World Cup matches for England, as a last moment replacement for the injured Chris Tremlett. Before that, he bowled the unforgettable over, it was surely unanticipated. Neither him nor the captain Paul Collingwood could’ve imagined such a situation. But it finally happened. Anyhow, Broad served as England’s T20I captain from 2011 to 2014, he also led during the T20 World Cup.

Yuvraj calls Broad a legend in fun banter

Indian fans preferably remember Stuart Broad for that one over, but it’s true that the former England T20 captain has done a lot more in his career. Even though he played his last limited-overs game in early 2016, it was around the same time that he was the World No. 1 Test bowler. And from Yuvraj’s comment on Mumbai Indians’ official Instagram post, that was made on Yuvi, we can clearly discern that he’s aware of Broad’s accomplishments.

To this post, Broad’s comment was “6 😂” which clearly displays the friendly connection between the two players. Yuvraj’s reply was even more warm, as he wrote: “lol that’s why you have 400 plus test wickets mate ! Legend 🙌🏻”
