Stuart Broad reacts to Jofra Archer’s old tweets in a hilarious way
Archer is playing the 2019 World Cup final versus New Zealand.
Back in August 2015, Stuart Broad produced a magical spell against Australia in the Ashes. At the Trent Bridge in Nottingham, the right-arm speedster wreaked havoc with a spell of 9.3-5-15-8. His masterclass broke the backbone of the Aussie batting, which was shot out for a paltry 60 in 18.3 overs. The Three Lions won the encounter by a comprehensive margin of an innings and 78 runs.
He started the carnage with the wicket of the left-handed Chris Rogers and he turned out to be an unstoppable force. In the second innings, Broad could manage only the wicket of Steve Smith, but he eventually got the Player of the Match award. Meanwhile, Jofra Archer, who is currently a part of the English team in the 2019 World Cup, was awe-struck by the incredible spell of bowling.
Archer, who is the Brits’ leading wicket-taker in the mega event, put up a couple of tweets, the first of which read, “Broad ripping thru the men.” The second one read, “Yes broad’.

Four years down the line, even as Broad is an integral member of the England Test team, Archer is busy plying his trade in the final of the World Cup against New Zealand at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground in London. Broad is most likely to play the Ashes, which is scheduled to start next month. The first Test will be played at the Edgbaston in Birmingham, and Broad will have a massive responsibility.
Archer has been a revelation for the Three Lions after being fast-tracked into the Three Lions’ team. The England residency rules were tweaked in order to allow him to play the World Cup. He made his international debut in the ODI series versus Pakistan. In the ongoing mega event, Archer has bowled with pace and venom and has undoubtedly turned out to be a brute force.
England is playing their first World Cup final after 1992 and before the game, Broad wished for Archer to perform well. He replied to the first tweet and wrote, “I hope you do some ‘ripping through’ today Jof.” Broad’s second reply read, “Yes Jof”
