In about a couple of weeks time, Australia and England will face off in Brisbane for the 1st Ashes Test match. A lot of talks have been going around the air, with individual players plotting up against particular opponents. England ace pacer Stuart Broad has termed Australia’s opener David Warner as the danger man, and they will watch out for him closely.

Warner had earlier hogged some unwanted spotlight by saying that the upcoming Ashes will be more like a war and he will be carrying a lot of hatred to succeed. The left-handed batter is one of the most successful batsmen in Australia’s set up, and a lot will depend on the way he starts off the innings.

“I think someone like Warner you’ve got to try bowl a lot of balls at him with the new ball, because it’s your best chance of getting him out,” he told the Sydney Morning Herald Thursday. (But) you have to have a plan B, and with someone like Warner you have to go to plan B quicker than a lot of other batters.”

Not fun playing against Warner: Broad

Broad also said that he would love to have Warner on his side and added that it is not fun to play against him.“He’s someone that drives teams forward,” Broad said referring to the Australian deputy. ”He’s one of those blokes who is not that enjoyable to play against, but if he’s in your team you love him.

“You have characters like that in most successful sports teams, don’t you?  ”Someone who if he’s in the field, will stay in the battle, looking someone in the eye all the time, keep his bowlers moving … someone who can take the game away from you quickly. He’s got huge scoring areas from straight, so I think we have to look for his outside edge up until day three,” he said.
