Stuart Broad trolls England skipper Joe Root on Twitter
Well, even we couldn't stop laughing like all of them. Trying hard not to laugh.
There is a lot of tension, pressure and stress while a team is in the middle of a Test series, and in a position where they lost a game after winning one and the deciding encounter is just a couple of days away. How do players deal with that? Ask England pacer Stuart Broad and he would say by trolling the skipper of the team on Twitter.
It has been a known fact that famous personalities have their Twitter handles operated by a team of social media experts who determine what content goes up and when. This ended up taking a hilarious turn for Joe Root. A post went up on his Twitter account from a training session while he was nowhere near the field.
However it so turned out that it was an agency tweet and in reality, he was in the middle of a team meeting. This caught Broad’s attention who was himself part of the meeting. He clicked a picture of Root conducting the proceedings there and and tweeted that he wasn’t training.
This led to hilarious reactions from the cricketing fans around the world. The pacer fired the ammunition at the right time and ended up giving fans a good laugh with his witty reply. Even Liam Plunkett couldn’t stop himself from laughing.
Fans had some amazing reactions on it. Here are a few of them:
