Stuart Clark backs Virat Kohli against Matthew Wade

The former Australian bowler, Stuart Clark has backed the Indian skipper Virat Kohli against Matthew Wade as both the players were involved in a heated conversation during Indian innings. The tempers have started to flare between the players now as the series has got underway and is being fiercely contested. Though the scoreline of 2-0 suggests Team India is in a better position, they have achieved it after getting past Australia’s spirited fight in both the games. In fact, the visitors had a great chance to win both the games as they had the upper hand over the Men in Blue but couldn’t nail the crunch moments.

The verbal altercation started between the two started when Kohli stole a bye off the after wicketkeeper Matthew Wade misfielded the ball. The bowler Marcus Stoinis confronted with the Indian skipper after the over but Wade questioned the spirit of the game while changing the ends which Kohli didn’t like at all. Stuart Clark was fumed to see the left-handed wicketkeeper engage in a feud over a single run and backed Kohli over the incident. “He misfielded one. Whether the Indian batsman knew he was injured or not was probably a secondary question. It’s one run. Is this the biggest issue this team has got? If I’m Matthew Wade and I’m Marcus Stoinis — and full credit to him for standing up for Matthew Wade — I’d be worrying about my own cricket, rather than all this other stuff. This is piddly crap,” he told Sky Sports Radio on Friday.

However, Steve Smith and Co. need to address their issues against spin soon now as the series is going out of their hands. The third ODI in Indore has become a must-win for them and they need to win all the 3 remaining matches to win the series which looks a distant dream now.
