Sunil Chhetri thanks Virat Kohli for promoting Indian Football

The captain of the Indian Football team Sunil Chhetri posted an emotional video on Saturday as he humbly requested the fans to turn out in huge numbers to support his team. They will face Kenya on Monday in the ongoing Intercontinental Cup and will only play a couple more matches on June 7 and 10. The request of Sunil, however, was upvoted by the Indian captain Virat Kohli and urged the fans to support the heroes of the country in Mumbai.
The 29-year-old also posted a video on the social media and mentioned that all the sports must be given equal importance. While the stylish batsman accepted that the level of their game is not the same as in Europe but backed the Men in Blue to make the nation proud. Indeed, the Football team is doing well in the past few seasons and are constantly improving.
“Please take notice of my good friend and Indian football skipper @chetrisunil11’s post and please make an effort,” read the message with which Kohli captioned his video.

Virat Kohli was followed by Suresh Raina and Krunal Pandya as the support for Football increased throughout the country. While cricket is no less than a religion in India, other sports never get the same backing from the fans. Sunil Chhetri pointed out an interesting fact in his message and urged the Indian fans to support them madly much like they do for the European Clubs in the leagues. Also, the Football World Cup is set to commence on June 14 and no wonder even the Indian fans would be cheering for different countries.
Chhetri was overwhelmed to after experiencing the response to his message on Twitter and thanked Kohli for supporting the cause. “Thank you, champ. This is really appreciated,” he tweeted for one of the best cricketers in the World.
