Sunrisers Hyderabad drop big names in player release
Defending IPL champions Sunrisers Hyderabad have left out two big names from their winning squad. The IPL governing council had set December 15 as the release date for the players. The franchises had to confirm the list of players they are retaining and the ones they are releasing before the due date. As per the reports in the Mumbai Mirror, the Sunrisers Hyderabad have dropped wicket-keeper batsman Aditya Tare from their line up.
Tare had made sporadic appearances for the Sunrisers Hyderabad last season who eventually went on to win the coveted trophy. Prior to this, the Mumbai Ranji captain was on the roaster for the Mumbai Indians and had contributed heavily in the earlier seasons for them. Yet another big name to miss out from the Sunrisers camp is New Zealand spearhead, Trent Boult.
The Kiwi pacer was a key member of the team in 2015 season. However, he got to play only one match last season and was replaced by Bangladesh’s speed sensation Mustafizur Rahman. Rahman had bowled brilliantly and his success meant Boult had to warm up the bench for the majority of the season. The BCCI has not confirmed the release of the two players though. While Tare was bought by the Sunrisers Hyderabad for INR 1.2 crores, Boult had fetched a handsome INR 3.8 crores in the last auctions.
The Royal Challengers Bangalore have decided to retain all the big names from their unit. They have released only Varun Aaron from the unit. Mumbai Indians have decided to release New Zealand all-rounder Corey Anderson. The Delhi Daredevils released some big names in Imran Tahir and Nathan Coulter-Nile. They also release the million dollar boy Pawan Negi from their set up.
As the days pass by, the bigger names are coming to the fore who have been released by their franchises. All the released players will get into the auction pool for the next auctions for the IPL 2017.
