Over the past few days, sharing gender-swapped looks of each other has become quite a rage on the internet. People are resorting to ‘Gender Swap’ trend and are sharing morphed looks of their friends and family. A few set hasn’t even spared the celebrities as gender-swapped photos of cricketers and actors have been doing rounds on the internet.
The trend has taken the internet by storm and even cricketers have been sharing such photos. Several cricketers like Yuzvendra Chahal, Yuvraj Singh and Harbhajan Singh have joined the bandwagon by sharing female looks of their friends.
While Chahal poked fun at Rohit Sharma by sharing the MI skipper’s female look, Harbhajan and Yuvraj shared gender-swapped photos if India internationals. Harbhajan chose the set of veteran players like Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly while Yuvraj picked modern-day players like Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya.
Considering its popularity, even the second most-successful IPL franchise, Chennai Super Kings, didn’t hold back in joining the trend. ‘The Yellow Army’ also shared the female looks of the players, which featured many CSK stars like MS Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja, Shane Watson, Ambati Rayudu, Dwayne Bravo and Ravindra Jadeja.
The picture, in no time, received thousands of likes and it was flooded with responses. Many fans were left amused by seeing how the female avatar of their favourite cricketer looked like. One CSK player who hogged the most attention due to his ‘beautiful’ female look was Shardul Thakur.
CSK stalwart Suresh Raina also reacted to the picture and he was so amused with the female looks that he actually asked one of his teammates out for a coffee date. The CSK vice-captain took a sly dig at the female look of Shardul and proposed him for a coffee. ‘Hahaha. Me and Shardul going for a coffee, soon,” commented Raina on the picture.
Raina, along with skipper MS Dhoni, had already started training for the IPL 2020. However, post the coronavirus outbreak, the tournament was postponed indefinitely. However, there are reports suggesting that the BCCI is trying its best to host the cash-rich league in the latter stage of the year.
