Indian pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar is all set to tie the knot. The cricketer announced his engagement with Nupur Nagar in aprivate ceremony in Greater Noida. Bhuvi shared the news through an Instagram post. His friends and relatives marked their presence in the auspicious event. The medium-fast bowler earlier provided a sneak peak by posting a picture with his ‘better half’.
The cricketer on Thursday took to Twitter and posted a photo of the two lovebirds with the caption, “”Rewinding and going back to the happy memories, inspires me to fast forward and dream about the amazing future that lies ahead..”
Bhuvneshwar was economical during the recently concluded ODI series against Australia. Apart from bowling well, the lower-order batsman chipped in with vital contribution with the bat too. His ability with the bat came into light after the match-winning unbeaten fifty which he scored in the 2nd ODI against Sri Lanka.
Bhuvneshwar set to get hitched
“Our families have known each other for a while now, par yeh Bhuvneshwar ki pasand thi. Ussne humein bataya and we were happy. The girl is educated and sweet and the family is very nice too. We are now trying to see when we can have the wedding. Bhuvi is busy with back-to-back series in the coming months but as soon as we find a 10-day window, we will make arrangements.” his father said.
“Dekhiye, shaadi koi roz-roz toh hoti nahi. This is a special occasion and we want everyone to be there. So we will extend our invitation to all of Bhuvneshwar’s teammates from the Indian team. I hope all of them can make it too.” he added.
Suresh Raina, who has played alongside Bhuvneshwar Kumar, is excited on hearing the good news. The Indian middle order batsman, who never misses out on celebrating a dismissal with the bowler, is set to partner Bhuvi off the field too. Raina recently tweeted “Congratulations @BhuviOfficial looking forward to dancing at your wedding.”
India will play a series of 3-T20Is against the visitors, starting today (7th October). Bhuvneshwar will be a vital cog in the Indian bowling line up.
