Suresh Raina wife proud after hubby's comeback in T20I series

India won the third T20I against South Africa, thereby winning the series. They won a close encounter just by 7 runs. Suresh Raina was awarded the Man of the Match for his all-round performance. He scored 43 with the bat and also picked one wicket with the ball. Making a comeback in this series, he was one of the top performers in the side.

Raina scored 88 runs in the three games at an average of close to 30 and a massive strike rate of 151. Raina was called back to the Indian T20I team after he managed to clear the yo-yo test. Moreover, Raina also impressed everyone with some stellar performances in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy where a scored a brilliant century as well as a half-century.

Wife Priyanka has a special message for Suresh Raina

Suresh Raina is an experienced campaigner and was among the mainstays in the Indian batting lineup. However, he lost his place in the side last year citing poor form and fitness. The comeback trail for Suresh Raina hasn’t been an easy one. He had to put in the hard yards for improving on his fitness and batting. He was seen sweating out at the National Cricket Academy(NCA) in Bangalore.

So, tasting success after all the hard work put in is indeed a great feeling and Raina will cherish this forever. Raina also recently made a statement that he was dropped despite performing well. Furthermore, he said that this comeback was as exciting as making his debut and has done extremely well in the series. Raina will hope to carry his good form into the Nidahas Trophy and then the Indian Premier League(IPL) later on.

Raina’s wife, Priyanka was elated after he won the Man of the Match award. She took it Twitter to express her happiness and said that her eyes were filled with tears. “That moment when your heart is filled with immense happiness and your eyes with tears! So proud of you my liefie  @ImRaina“, she wrote.
