The T20 Blast has resumed with full intensity after a week’s break during which a round of County Championship was played. The contest to qualify for the knockouts will spice up now as only a few matches are left in the league stage. Every player tries to give his 100 percent for the team but while doing the same, Yorkshire’s wicketkeeper Jonathan Tattersall hilariously hit his teammate Keshav Maharaj itself on Friday.
The game was between Yorkshire and Durham at the Riverside Ground in Chester-le-Street when the hilarious incident took place. The official Twitter handle of the T20 Blast shared the video which the fans are enjoying now. In the video, it could be seen that Maharaj delivers the ball which the batsman looks to sweep only for it to hit on his pads. The ball just rolled through on the pitch even as the batsmen look to scamper through for a single.
Sensing a run-out opportunity, Tattersall ran quickly towards the ball and tried to attempt a direct hit at the bowler’s end. But as he turned and threw the ball, it was not at all in the right direction and Maharaj, who was not even close to the stumps had to bore the brunt. Though he tried to avoid the throw, there was no option for him to evasive action and eventually, the ball hit on his bum.

Yorkshire win the match
As far as the match is concerned, Yorkshire managed to deliver a timely win in the tournament defending the under-par 146-run total. Jack Shutt, the off-spinner, ran through Durham’s lineup with a five-wicket haul and returned with the magical figures of 5/11 in his four-over spell. Adam Lyth also did his bit with his 3/19 in three overs as Durham were bundled out for just 132 runs in 19 overs.
Durham lost eight wickets for just 26 in just 32 balls. They were sitting comfortably at 106/2 in the 14th over in the chase but it was Shutt’s day with the ball and they succumbed under the pressure.
