India is all set to lock horns with New Zealand for their second match of the T20 World Cup 2021. However, ahead of the match, the team decided to spend some time on the beach on their day off. Team India played beach Volleyball on Friday, October 29 before their game against the Kane Williamson-led side in the ongoing T20 World Cup.

The Virat Kohli-led side is all raring to make an impact in the tournament after they faced a ten wickets defeat against Pakistan. The team has been training hard to bounce back stronger in the marquee event. However, when they got some free time amidst their training sessions the team made most of it.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) took it to their official Twitter account to post the video of the team playing beach Volleyball. They captioned the tweet as: “A game of beach volleyball as #TeamIndia unwinds in their day off! #T20WorldCup.”

Both India and New Zealand have lost their opening fixtures to Pakistan. Entering into this match, both sides will be keen on registering a victory. A defeat here will hamper the teams’ chances of advancing to the semi-finals.

Hardik Pandya’s availability with the ball is a big concern for Team India

India is dealing with the concern of the sixth bowling option with Hardik Pandya not available with his quota of overs. However, what came in as a positive sign for the side is that the all-rounder was spotted bowling whilst the team’s practice session on Wednesday.

The former India cricketer and commentator Irfan Pathan has thus suggested a few changes in team India ahead of their match against the Kiwis. He feels that the team will definitely think about an alternative and predicted that one might witness a few changes in the playing XI.

“The biggest question is whether Hardik Pandya will bowl or not? Is he in the right form to play the finisher’s role? If they back him, there’s no problem. However, the Indian side would definitely think about an alternative. They have the option of Shardul Thakur who can bat at number seven.

“However, if Shardul plays, you need another bowler who can bat as well. In this case, you have Ravichandran Ashwin. So, if Hardik doesn’t play, we might see a couple of changes in India’s playing XI,” Pathan said in a video posted by Star Sports.
