T20 World Cup 2021: 3 Surprise picks for Dream11 fantasy teams for South Africa vs Bangladesh game

South Africa and Bangladesh will be meeting each other in the Super 12 match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 on November 2. The Proteas have won two of their three matches while Bangladesh have lost all three in the Super 12.

The South Africans, despite being heavy favourites, will be wary of what Bangladesh have done to them previously in white-ball cricket. Nevertheless, it is a great opportunity for the fans to get some fantasy points.

1. Soumya Sarkar

Soumya Sarkar has been in and out of this team but will surely find a place in the side against South Africa, given the injury concerns which the Bangladesh team has. He is a powerful hitter of the cricket ball and on his day can take the game away. 

He does have a history of scoring runs against South Africa in white-ball cricket, which doesn’t assure he is going to get a lot of fantasy points, but at least makes him a good bet. With his bowling, he can be handy on these pitches and could be used for success at some point, making him an even better bet. 

2. Rassie van der Dussen

Even though the right-handed batter has not found his best timing with the bat in this tournament, he has the ability to get the job done. As he is batting in the top three, he remains one of the better bets. He can be a useful fielder as well, so keep an eye on that too.

On top of that, it should also be kept in mind that he is a prolific run-getter and a consistent performer, which says that he is going to come good at one point. This could just be the match. 

3. Dwaine Pretorius

Coming into this World Cup, Dwaine Pretorius was one of the better bets for South Africa to handle the death-over duties. He has performed the role quite perfectly. In fact, in some ways he has exceeded expectations.

He has 10 wickets already with a strike rate of just 6.4, making him a solid pick for any match from here on. Interestingly, the Proteas haven’t required his services with the bat so far but he is definitely handy with the stick as well.
