However, the next big thing for all the cricketing nations is the T20 World Cup 2021 where they will be fighting out for the ultimate glory. The preparations have already kicked off and nations would be marching up with their cream squads to make it big. Talking about India, there will be cutthroat competition between players to make it to the XI. With bench strength getting stronger day by day, it will be a big headache for the selection committee to make the final call. Talking about the bowling section, various pacers have been flaunting their class in recent times and have shown up for the team in the crunch situation. Though his career had been loaded with injuries so far, he has proved himself upright in the situations where he was there. He would definitely be one of the prime picks for death bowling in the upcoming T20 World Cup. Bhuvi has been part of 48 T20Is with India and has 45 scalps under his belt at an economy of 6.98. Though Shami wasn’t at his usual best in the recent edition of the Indian Premier League 2021, he will have to pull up his socks before the high-profile tournament, T20 World Cup. Talking about his death bowling, in 13.4 overs, he has seven wickets at an economy of 11.12. 4. T Natarajan Thangarasu Natarajan. A left-arm pacer has been India’s search for a long time now and it seems to be solved with his entry. He has also made a name for himself in the short span of his career. His ability to produce magical Yorkers earned him a maiden call-up from India last year for their Australia tour. He became the first Indian to mark his debut across all the formats in one series only owing to his top-class spells. In four T20I games, he has picked seven wickets at an economy of 7.62. His IPL franchise SRH has often trusted him with the death overs and it will be seen if he is able to replicate the class for India in the mega event ie T20 World Cup. In six death overs, he has four wickets to his name at an economy of 9. 5. Mohammed Siraj Mohammed Siraj. He has just been part of 3 T20Is with India and has grabbed as many wickets at an economy of 12.33 Though he won’t be picked as a death over specialist in front of Bhuvi or Bumrah, he can be taken up as a reserved option. In the brief session of IPL 2021, he flaunted some class bowling for RCB and came up with toe-crushing Yorkers time and again. If he can carry up his momentum, it would be great for India in the upcoming T20 World Cup. In four death overs bowled so far in T20I cricket, he has picked just one wicket at an economy of 15. It would be a thing to see how he will put up his skills at the grand stage.
