T20 World Cup 2021: Old video goes viral as Pakistan's response to latest 'Mauka Mauka' ad campaign

Ever since the schedule of the T20 World Cup 2021 has been out, the cricketing fraternity has been raring to watch the India-Pakistan clash. The fact that both the countries are in the same pool created excitement amongst the fans who are all eager to watch the action unfold. Ahead of the mega event, the official broadcaster of the tournament, Star Sports brought back the ‘Mauka Mauka’ ad campaign.

This ad campaign was launched in the year 2015 to promote the World Cup games. Its popularity among the on-lookers prompted the channel to keep producing more advertisements under this to garner the audacity of the India-Pakistan matches. Recently, they launched a new ad for the upcoming T20 World Cup.

In the commercial, a Pakistan supporter walks into his friend’s electronic store with a box of crackers to buy a new TV to watch the high-profile event. His friend instead asks him to buy two sets so that he could break one after his team loses. However, Pakistan has now come up with a response to the “Mauka Mauka” commercial.

The old commercial that has gone viral starts with a bunch of Indian friends enjoying the match at their house. They give a loud cheer when they feel that the batter has hit a maximum. However, the background commentary suggests that the batter is been caught by a fielder at the boundary. That is when they realize that Pakistan has won the match.

Soon the Pakistan fans knock on their doors and take away the crackers from them. And rather hand over a box of tissue to the Indian fan stating, “No issue lay lo tissue.” The exact same words run in the background as music as well. As soon as the commercial was released, it fetched a lot of reaction as fans reacted to it in numbers on Twitter.

India and Pakistan will lock horns with each other on October 24. India has a dominating record over their arch-rivals in the ICC events. Pakistan has never won a match against India in the 50-over and T20 World Cup as well. In the ODI World Cup, India has defeated the Men in Green on seven occasions and as many as five times in the T20 World Cup.
