6. Australia
The mighty Australians are yet to win a T20 World Cup. Though the side hasn’t had a good outing against Bangladesh, they would not let it upset them too much as the team missed out on a lot of key names. Heading into the T20 World Cup, if one has to dive deeper into their spin options, then the team has some dynamic names. The left-arm finger spinner Ashton Agar has been a key name in Australia’s bowling attack in T20I cricket.
Ashton Agar has featured for Australia in 39 T20Is and has picked up 42 wickets at a healthy economy rate of 6.75. Adam Zampa can operate with him in the spin department. Zampa has picked up 52 wickets in his T20I career of 50 matches.
Australia also has a powerful all-rounder in Glenn Maxwell. Maxwell’s abilities with the bat are known to all. However, if needed he can take the charge with the ball as well and get those crucial wickets for the team in crunch moments. The right-arm off-break bowler will have a big role to play for Australia in the tournament with both the bat and the ball. His presence provides the team an extra spinning option wherein the balance of the team could be managed as per the conditions.
