T20 World Cup 2022: Aakash Chopra picks India’s squad
Chopra also stated that Ravindra Jadeja’s place in the side is certain.
Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra picked India’s 2022 T20 World Cup squad on his YouTube channel. Chopra’s first three picks were Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and KL Rahul. Chopra also wondered whether Kohli can open the batting at the top of the order.
The other 3 batters who made it to Chopra’s squad are Ishan Kishan, Shreyas Iyer, and Suryakumar Yadav. And of course, Rishabh Pant will don the wicket-keeping gloves in this squad picked by Chopra for the multi-nation tournament.
Chopra also stated that Ravindra Jadeja’s place in the side is certain. Adding that he is not convinced with Washington Sundar, Chopra opted for Hardik Pandya and Venkatesh Iyer as the other 2 all-rounders for the 2022 T20 World Cup that will take place in Australia this year.

Chopra also stated that one out of Prasidh Krishna, Mohammed Siraj, or Avesh Khan will find a slot in the squad as well. The cricketer-turned-commentator then said that one out of Mohammed Shami, T Natarajan, or Khaleel Ahmed can be picked by the Rohit Sharma-led Indian outfit for the mega event.
Chopra also said that Shardul Thakur has an outside chance of featuring in the Indian squad and concluded by stating that India might face a problem while bowling at the death on Australian pitches this year.
