Bangladesh pacer Taskin Ahmed along with left-arm spinner Arafat Sunny is all set to make a comeback to the side in the forthcoming One-Day International series against Afghanistan.

Taskin and Arafat were suspended earlier this year during the World T20 in India, by the International Cricket Council (ICC) as they were found to have illegal bowling actions. The duo appeared for bowling action review test in an ICC approved centre in Brisbane on September 8.

According to Bangladesh Cricket Board’s (BCB), media and communications committee chairman Jalal Younus, the results of the tests will be out by this Thursday.

“They [Taskin and Sunny] appeared for the test on the eighth of this month. We are expecting to get the result within 14 days,” Jalal told the media on Saturday. “The two bowlers are eagerly waiting while the selectors are hopeful of positive results. They will be part of the team if everything turns out to be positive,” he said.

The bowler himself had earlier revealed that he is itching to get back into international colours. “Just like anyone else, I would also like to return to international cricket quickly. If the word ‘banned’ is removed from my life, it would be like every day is Eid,” Taskin said.

However, Bangladesh is yet to announce the final squad for the series with the start scheduled in around a week’s time. The Mashrafe Mortaza led side will play their first ODI against Afghanistan on 25th September.
