It was the 6th edition of the tournament and the uniforms became more colourful. This time the host countries were India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka and the Lankans lions stunned everybody by lifting the trophy for the first time. The jersey design evolved in the span of 4 years but still, the pattern was similar for all the teams. Some of the famous brands started appearing on the t-shirt.
Indian team changed their attire from dark blue to light blue with shades of yellow to compliment it. There were horizontal white stripes and the collar was completely yellow. The jersey consisted of rainbow-coloured arrows running across the chest and the sleeves. There was a Sahara logo on the t-shirt.
