Team India likely to stay at CSK's hotel during T20 WC, support staff to join team on October 02
India to play the first match of T20 WC against Pakistan.
The T20 World Cup 2021 is all set to begin on October 17 with qualifiers taking place in Oman and the Super 12 stage taking place in the UAE. In the same light of events, some more information is coming around team India’s stay and it has been found out that Virat Kohli and his men will stay in Th8 Palm in Dubai.
Currently, the same hotel is being used by the Chennai Super Kings team member and later, India will reside at the same place. It has been reported that the coaching staff and other staff members will land in Dubai on October 02.
“The Indian team is likely to stay at Th8 Palm. The deal is yet to be finalized, but this one has been zeroed in on. As for the coaching staff, they are set to arrive around October 2 and undergo six-day quarantine before they can be a part of the T20 World Cup bubble,” said sources in the know of development as quoted by the New Indian Express.
India and Pakistan to play on October 24 in T20 WC
It is known that India will play its first encounter of the T20 World Cup against arch-rivals Pakistan on October 24. The high-profile contest is highly awaited by the fans of both sides as the neighboring nations now only lock horns in the ICC events.
Oman and Papua New Guinea to begin proceedings on October 17 in the T20 WC
Hosts Oman and Papua New Guinea will play kick start Round 1 of Group B on October 17. In the same light, the other teams of Group B will face off in the evening match. The Round one matches will continue till October 22 where Ireland, Netherlands, Sri Lanka, and Namibia of Group A will be in action in Abu Dhabi from October 18.
The top two teams from each group will proceed for the Super 12 stage which is set to begin on October 23. The first clash will take place between South Africa and Australia in Abu Dhabi (Super 12) which will be followed by a contest between England and West Indies in Dubai.
