Again for Bhuvneshwar Kumar, his set of chronic injuries had become a concern in 2021. The cricketer during the first half of the IPL was seen missing games and was away from his full fitness. However, when it comes to the ODIs, the pacer was smoothly part of the two brief ODI events.

In the home series against England, the 31-year old took a total of six wickets at an admirable economy of 4.61. Even in the Sri Lankan series, he had a worthy outing by bagging three more wickets from two games at an economy of 6.2. Also not to forget that in the second ODI, he excellently supported Deepak Chahar’s heroics to win the game from a nowhere situation.

Overall, this ace Indian pacer in Jasprit Bumrah’s absence has picked a total of nine wickets from his five appearances in the 2021 ODIs.
