8. Delhi Capitals – Amit Mishra
The Delhi Capitals have witnessed every possible scenario of the Indian Premier League. During the fourteen years, they have managed to get into the playoffs, finish at the bottom of the table, and get stuck mid-way in the table. Initially, they had a power-packed batting line up. With the likes of a young David Warner, Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, AB de Villiers, and T.M. Dilshan, they were the strongest team during the initial seasons.
However, the best performer in the history of the team is Amit Mishra. The leg spinner stood out for the team during the crucial phases of the game and was a phenomenal performer. However, a strong Indian line-up meant that the leggie was never given enough chances. In a team boasting of star batsmen, Mishra wins the race which enables him to be the best player to represent Delhi.
In the lucrative tournament, he has claimed 160 wickets with an economy rate of 7.34. A strike rate of 19.75 for a spinner in the shortest format of the game speaks of his character and grit. Apart from that, he has taken a five-wicket haul, with the best bowling figures of 5/17.
