Four players that might be retained from each franchise in IPL 2022
8. KKR: Shubman Gill, Andre Russell, Nitish Rana, Eoin Morgan
The Kolkata Knight Riders are having a poor time in the 2021 season of the IPL. Their players are unable to perform up to the mark. With just 2 wins in 7 games, they have to pull up their socks during the second half of the tournament. It looks like KKR has been struggling post-Gambhir era.
With several superstars in their lineup, they must retain the mixture of youth and experience. Currently, they have a World Cup-winning captain in the form of Eoin Morgan. He needs a decent bunch of performers who can stand up to the occasion and play freely. The management should keep him as the captain for the next season.
Adding on, they should retain their star all-rounder Andre Russell. He can play match-winning knocks on his day and can easily destroy any bowling attack. Nitish Rana and Shubman Gill are young and proven performers. They should be included in the core group for the next season.
