With the South African side still being a work-in-progress team, their super over combination definitely needs to be of players who are capable enough to handle utter pressure situations. So to open up with, the pair of Quinton De Kock and David Miller can be an effective duo, as both the batters can be very unpredictable with their stroke play.

Further, while de Kock can still look to hit the ball in gaps, David Miller in particular can be the man in charge of hitting towering sixes. And in case if any one of them departs early, then Rassie van der Dussen thus essentially becomes a viable candidate to boost up the scoring.

As a middle-order batsman, Rassie is well known for his attacking gameplay which also perhaps means that he can instantaneously play the big shots. Overall, he also has the reputation of playing unconventional shots which in general might help South Africa to deal with big totals.

For bowling, unarguably Kagiso Rabada is the most ultimate choice which the South African team has, especially when considering his record in super overs. Not long ago, the speedster had successfully defended a super over for his IPL franchise which also had involved a face-off against Andre Russell. Hence, with his bowling containing everything such as pace, bouncers, yorkers, and variations, often he should be able to triumph his team out from most situations.
