Chris Gayle hit the first ever 200 in the World cup history. His 215 is now the highest individual score for West Indies in ODIs beating Sir Viv Richards’ 189* against England in 1984.
Gayle scored his 200 in 138 balls making it the fastest Double century in ODIs, breaking Virender Sehwag’s record of 140 balls. Gayle also hit record equaling 16 sixes and 10 fours in his innings. Gayle and Marlon Samuels added 372 runs for the 2nd wicket, another world record.
