However, Alzarri Joseph has a rare feat of getting a batsman out stumped even though the keeper was standing at the normal position.</p>
<p>Rishabh Pant was batting outside his crease in the 2016 Under-19 World Cup final and left an outside off-stump ball alone. Little did he know that keeper Imlach would have a shy at the stumps and catch him short. Hence, Joseph got Pant out stumped.</p>

<p>Alzarri Joseph made his international debut in a Test match at Gros Islet in August 2016 against India. Even though West Indies lost the game, Joseph will remember the game for a long time. His maiden wicket in international cricket was the Indian skipper <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/ipl-2019-michael-vaughan-advises-india-to-rest-virat-kohli-after-rcbs-sixth-loss/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>Virat Kohli</strong></a>. He then prized out Rohit Sharma before wrapping up the innings with the wicket of the centurion Wriddhiman Saha. He returned with figures of 3/69 on Test debut.</p>

<h3><strong>#6 Youngest player to dismiss Virat Kohli in his career </strong></h3>
<p>Joseph will remember his first international wicket for a long time. He got the prized scalp of one of the best batsmen in the world, Virat Kohli. He bowled a 141 kph bouncer and got Kohli in a tangle. Eventually, the Indian skipper tried to fend but could only manage an edge and was out caught. Joseph became the youngest &#8211; 19 years and 263 days to dismiss Kohli.</p>

<p>Alzarri Joseph has the pace but tends to be inconsistent. However, back in 2016, the young quick hit one of the biggest stars of the modern day, <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/ipl-2019-virat-kohli-and-ab-de-villiers-families-hang-out-together-in-bengaluru/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>AB de Villiers</strong></a> right on the helmet in a Caribbean Premier League (CPL) game. He bowled a nasty and a quick bouncer which pinged de Villiers on the side of the helmet. It looked pretty nasty but the South African star was alright as he smashed the next ball for six.</p>

<h3><strong>#8 Youngest West Indian player to register an ODI five-wicket haul  </strong></h3>
<p>West Indies’ tour to England in 2017 was a disastrous one as far as white-ball cricket is concerned. They managed to taste victory in just the lone T20I but lost the ODI series 4-0. There were a few positives in that series. Alzarri Joseph was one of them.</p>
<p>He became the youngest West Indian to take a five-wicket haul in ODI cricket. He was 20 years and 311 days when he picked up 5/56 in a losing cause.</p>
<h3><strong>#9 Overcoming personal loss</strong></h3>

<p>The 22-year-old fast bowler from Antigua has shown that he has nerves of steel as well. A few months back, his mother passed away while he was playing a Test match against England at North Sound (second game of the series). However, he completed the game and even bowled in the second innings. Once, the Windies won the game, he returned home to be with his family. However, he returned to play the third Test match.</p>
<h3><strong>#10 Dream IPL debut </strong></h3>
<p>Playing the Indian Premier League (IPL) is a dream for many players. Alzarri Joseph, who came in as a replacement for Adam Milne, realised this dream and went onto to break multiple records. He took 6/12 as he bowled Mumbai Indians to a great win.</p>

<p>He started off with a wicket-maiden as he dismissed David Warner off his very first delivery in IPL cricket. Joseph then became just the second bowler ever to register a fifer on IPL debut (after Andrew Tye). When he took his sixth wicket and finished with figures of 6/12, he broke Sohail Tanvir’s record for the best IPL figures of all-time. The Pakistani left-arm pacer had created the record back in the first season in 2008. Hence, it was certainly a dream debut for the young West Indian quick.</p>
