He kept saying his family wouldn’t have a problem with his second marriage,” said the 21 year-old girl. Their new sponsors Digicel – who had cracked a five-year $20-million deal, made astonishing claims against the players in what was a leaked memorandum. The three Sri Lankan Cricket (SLC) officials had asked national team’s women players to perform sexual favors to retain their place in the side. SLC said all three officials were shown the door at the end of their contracts last month after an internal inquiry found two of them guilty of sexual harassment and a third of improper conduct. Sri Lanka’s Children’s Minister Rosy Senanayake, who is also responsible for women’s issues, asserted that she has an close eye on the case “It is a shameful incident, We want to put a stop to this kind of behaviour.” Senanayake said She also said that she was closely monitoring the progress of the case and wanted the perpetrators brought to justice. 11.
