K.L. Rahul is another member of the Indian squad who has been consistent for the last couple of years. And the credit for some improved performance by the Punjab-based franchise does go to Rahul. He has managed to bring out the best from the squad for the last two years. 

Last year, a single umpiring error proved to be crucial as Punjab was knocked out of the tournament. But how they managed to make a fightback impressed everyone. They were the most entertaining team of the tournament. All the credit goes to the management and the captain.

In the absence of Rohit Sharma, Rahul is the vice-captain of the Indian squad. He holds the middle order together and plays the role of backup wicket-keeper and opener if required. In IPL, Rahul has scored 2647 runs at a healthy average of 44.86. He was a part of the Indian squad that managed to reach the semi-final of the World Cup in 2019. But a sensational Kiwi bowling attack denied them a ticket to the final of the World Cup. Hence, he makes it to this list of the best IPL XI that has never won the World Cup.
