‘The best way to start 2021’ – Stuart Broad gets engaged to girlfriend Mollie King

Back in January 2020, Indian all-rounder, Hardik Pandya started the previous year, getting engaged to his Serbian girlfriend Natasa Stankovic. Come 2021 and it was the turn of England’s Stuart Broad to make a thunderous start after he got engaged to his long-time girlfriend Mollie King. The duo has been dating since the year 2012 and their relationship has passed the test of times.

Back in 2018, Broad and King were reported to have separated, but the duo has, well and truly, got back to being with each other. On the day of their engagement, Broad uploaded a picture where he was seen, planting a kiss on King’s lips with all the love he has.

Even King cherished the romantic moment with the English speedster while she was engrossed in the passionate lip-lock. In the meantime, Broad captioned the picture and wrote, “The best way to start 2021,”

King also shared the same picture with all the affection she has for her loved one. She captioned the picture and wrote, “A thousand times yes! I still can’t believe it, the most magical start to the new year! I can’t wait to spend all my years with you @stuartbroad.”

After their engagement, a number of England cricketers, both current and former, lauded them for getting together. The likes of Michael Vaughan, Chris Woakes, Darren Gough among others, congratulated them on the happy occasion.

The 34-year-old Broad was recently nominated for the Sports Personality of the Year, but he lost the race to Sir Lewis Hamilton, the Formula 1 star. Broad is, without a doubt, one of the greatest fast bowlers England have ever produced. In 143 Tests, the pacer has 514 wickets to show for his efforts. He has 18 five-wicket hauls and three four-wicket hauls to his name as well.

Broad hasn’t played a single T20I for the Three Lions since 2014, yet, with 65 wickets, he is second in the list of highest wicket-takers for the Brits in the shortest format. Not to forget his stupendous skills with the bat in hand. The left-handed batter has 3335 Test runs with one century and 13 fifties with a top score of 169.
