Ross Taylor was the one of the most experienced batsman in the talented Kiwi line-up but his experience did not prove any good for his side as he scored just 221 runs at a sluggish strike rate of 61. In the night of the final it was a great opportunity for him to not only revive himself but the struggling team, but after getting a good start (40) he got out and made things worse for New Zealand.
