Shivam Dube made headlines when he smashed five sixes in five balls on the final day of a Ranji Trophy game. Well, luckily for Dube, the 2019 IPL auction was around the corner and he was picked up by the Royal Challengers Bangalore for a huge amount of INR 5 crore. He played at the middle order, but regular changes to the lineup meant that he never settled as a batsman. Talking about his bowling, he got the chance to bowl only when one of the premier bowlers was out of form.

During his RCB days, he was an underperformer. In the 2019 season, he scored only 40 runs in 4 games. Last year, he managed to score 145 runs in 6 games. Well, RCB management released him just before the 2021 auction. Till now, it has been a good move.

Dube was signed by the Rajasthan Royals during the 2021 auctions. Till the end (when suspended), he performed poorly. Technically, there are flaws in his batting( related to footwork) and he bowled only three overs in six games. Unfortunately, his inclusion brings imbalance to the Rajasthan side.
