Australian skipper Aaron Finch will turn out for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) side in the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). This will be the ninth IPL franchise that Finch will be rendering his services to in the gala T20 competition.
The trailblazing right-handed opening batter was asked if he had all the jerseys of every team he has represented in his IPL career to which the Aussie replied that the jersey of one of the IPL franchises he has represented is missing, but he could not recollect which franchise it is.
“Good question. There’s one team I am missing a shirt from but I can’t remember which one,” said Aaron Finch in an interview with cricket.com.au. You can watch the video of Finch talking about the same below.

Every time I plan a holiday, something has happened at the last minute: Aaron Finch
Aaron Finch also said that he had already written back to Brendon McCullum, who is the head coach of the KKR franchise, about his availability for the 2022 edition of the IPL and then informed his wife about it. Adding that every time he had planned to go on a holiday with his family something had cropped up at the last minute, Finch concluded by stating that his wife had always been very supportive.
“I was at dinner with my wife and I wrote back to (KKR head coach) Brendon McCullum before I’d flagged it with Amy. Every time we plan a holiday, something has come up. In the last six years – obviously, the two with Covid made it a bit difficult – every time we’ve made a holiday plan something has happened at the last minute. She wasn’t surprised but very supportive. Her and Esther (his daughter) will come over to India at some point,” concluded Aaron Finch.
The 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will commence on 26th March 2022, with the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) clashing with the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the opening match of the competition.
