The young and dynamic batsman Shubman Gill has kept the fans hooked to their TV screens with his blistering batting. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) campaign in the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has been all about Shubman’s batting brilliance so far. The 21-year-old, proving his worth, slammed an unbeaten knock of 70 off 62 balls in their second match of IPL against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and steered the Kolkata side to their maiden victory of the tournament.
The young lad also smashed 47 off 34 balls against Rajasthan Royals (RR) to steer KKR to their second consecutive win in the T20 extravaganza. On Friday (October 2), the official twitter handle of KKR posted a candid picture of Shubman where he can be seen playing a cricket shot.
The highlight of the picture is Gill’s bat which had “YouWeCan” written on it. YouWeCan is a foundation established by Yuvraj to raise awareness and help individuals to fight against cancer. Referring to the same, KKR asked the Indian veteran Yuvraj Singh if he liked their opening batsman’s bat. They tweeted, “Hey @YUVSTRONG12, like our Shub-man’s bat? #KKRHaiTaiyaar #Dream11IPL”
