Harbhajan Singh has come forward and congratulated Bhagwant Mann for being elected as the new Chief Minister of Punjab. The just-concluded Punjab Elections saw the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) dominate the proceedings by winning 92 of the 117 Assembly seats as they overcame some strong opposition parties like the Indian National Congress (INC), the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), etc.
As congratulatory messages poured in for Bhagwant Mann from all corners of India, the former spinner also sent in his best wishes to him as the former will reportedly be taking an oath as the next CM of the state at the Nawanshahr district in Khatkarkalan. Mann also works as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) at the Dhuri Assembly Constituency.

The veteran offie, who had last represented India in early 2016, announced his retirement from all forms of the game in December last year. He was last seen in on-field action during the IPL 2021 where he had played for the Kolkata Knight Riders who were languishing at the second-last position in the points table at the end of the first leg before some exceptional performances in the UAE leg saw them make the finals where the two-time winners went down to the Chennai Super Kings.
Even when he was an active cricketer, the Punjab off-spinner also went on to achieve success as a broadcaster and cricket pundit and even has his own official YouTube channel. Apart from all these, the two-time World Cup winner has also acted in a few movies.
