The number one Test bowler in the world is all set to unleash himself at home after a rich vein of form in the Ashes series on English soil. In the wake of Australia’s ball-tampering scandal, Pat Cummins became a silver lining for the team with his spectacular performances. In the months succeeding that, the New South Wales lad burst into the scene as the most valuable player for the national team in all the aspects.

The 26-year old hits the deck hard, using his height to great effect to generate both pace and bounce at the same time. The bounce at the Gabba will indeed work in his favour. Not only this, but Cummins is also a workhorse and a go-to bowler for his captain, capable of bowling long and match-turning spells with consistent line and length. Tim Paine’s deputy, Pat Cummins, will undeniably lead the bowling attack. A fit and firing Cummins may most likely lead the wicket-takers list.
