Rohit Sharma also holds the record of scoring the most number of T20I hundreds with four centuries in the shortest format: 106 against South Africa, 118 against Sri Lanka, 100* against England and 111* against Windies. He went past the record of three centuries held by New Zealand’s Colin Munro in the 20-overs format.

When in full flow, there is no batsman who can hit the white ball as long as Rohit Sharma does and his big scores in the limited-overs format prove this fact. The Indian skipper, on the other hand, who has 39 centuries, only second best to Sachin Tendulkar’s record of 49 centuries in ODIs, is yet to score his maiden T20I hundred.

So, undoubtedly the 31-year-old opener has an upper hand over his national skipper in this area and it will be very difficult for the Delhi-born cricketer to overtake this record. Also, the form ‘Hitman’ is in, especially in T20 cricket, he is definitely going to add more centuries to his name in near future.
