The Indian side continued its dominance over the Sri Lankan side in the T20I series between the two outfits. The Rohit Sharma-led outfit thrashed its opposition by 6 wickets in the 3rd T20I to win the three-match T20I series 3-0.

And, after the win, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma went and handed over the Paytm Trophy to Jaydev Shah. Jaydev is the son of former BCCI Secretary Niranjan Shah and is also the BCCI representative for the series between India and Sri Lanka.

Jaydev Shah is a veteran of first-class cricket. The left-handed batter plundered over 5000 runs in his first-class career and scored his runs at an average of close to 30. He also amassed 10 hundreds and 20 fifties as well.

Shreyas Iyer helps India trounce Sri Lanka in the T20I series

Batting first, Sri Lanka posted a total of 146/5 on the board. The Sri Lankan side was reeling at 29/4, but skipper Dasun Shanaka steadied the ship and scored a rollicking 38-ball 74* to put the pressure back on the opposition.

Apart from Shanaka, Dinesh Chandimal also chipped in with a 27-ball 22 as well. For India, Avesh Khan was the pick of the bowlers. The right-arm pacer picked up 2 wickets in his 4-over spell and gave away only 23 runs as well.

In reply, Shreyas Iyer played a superlative knock for the Indian side. The right-handed batter scored a superb 73* off just 45 deliveries and guided his side past the finish line. Apart from Iyer, Ravindra Jadeja also chipped in with a handy 22* off just 15 balls.

Lahiru Kumara scalped 2 wickets with the ball for the Sri Lankan outfit, while the likes of Dushmantha Chameera and Chamika Karunaratne picked up 1 wicket each.
