Virat Kohli has made everyone to stand up and notice his performances in the Test series against England. There were questions over him being the best Test player and the champion cricketer has shut the debate once and for all. After crafting 149 runs at Edgbaston, Kohli put up yet another exhibition of sublime batting at Trent Bridge in the second innings to notch up his 23rd Test ton.
He was livid with himself after missing out on a well-deserved century in the first innings by just 3 runs. He had given away his wicket to Adil Rashid who was conceding more than 5 runs an over until then. But in the second innings, Kohli made up for it in the second innings with a calm and composed knock. He was in no hurry at all played with utter ease to demoralise the tired bowlers.

The luck was also with him this time around as Virat Kohli was put down on 93 when James Anderson finally found an edge of his bat. He got to the three-figure mark with a streaky shot as well and then soaked in all the applause from the crowd. Barring those 7 runs, the Indian captain was never troubled by the bowlers and he looked at extreme comfort in the middle.
Tom Moody was in awe of him for his amazing skills with the willow. He praised Kohli to the hilt for coming up with a big score more often than not and hailed him for thriving in tough situations. “This guy @imVkohli continues to show his brilliance thrives in adversity with breathtaking skill. We will continue to look in awe as he dominates around the world. #ENGvIND,” he tweeted.
Kohli is understandable ruling the charts now with a massive 440 runs to his name after 6 innings and is way ahead of the second highest run-getter in the list. More than the runs, he would love to see India storming back in this series with a resounding victory.
Here’s Moody’s tweet:
